Now that greedmonger Rupert Murdoch has his dirty, selfish paws on the Wall $treet Journal, many expect him to make it more like his Faux News channel and go great guns after The NY Times.

Could this be how NYT could save itself/win the battle?

'Makes some sense, but I think it's a bit too 2.0. Plus, even as nice and well-visited as their site is, I just don't think the people at the NYT...or, for that matter any newspaper in the nation [especially the pliant news release reproduction machine, McClatchy], have the smarts to do it. They are focused on print on paper or just reproducing that print on a screen.
